Our Programs

PTA Reflections
PTA’s Reflections program encourages students in pre-K through grade 12 to explore and be involved in the arts. Each year, students at local schools create original works of art which are celebrated and entered into a competition which passes from local to council to district to state to national PTA.

Parent Education
The Santa Monica–Malibu Council of PTAs (SMMPTA) is committed to supporting parents and caregivers with resources, workshops, and discussions that strengthen our school communities. Through our Parent Education programs, we bring together experts, educators, and families to explore topics that matter most — from student wellness and mental health to technology safety, academic success, and equity in education.
Our goal is to empower parents with the tools and understanding needed to support the whole child — academically, emotionally, and socially. Events are open to all SMMUSD families and often hosted in partnership with district leaders and community organizations.
Stay connected for upcoming Parent Education Nights, webinars, and collaborative forums — because informed, engaged families help every child thrive.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Committee
SMMPTA's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee supports the equitable representation and participation of individuals from diverse communities and cultures in membership, leadership, collaboration and advocacy efforts through education, cultural appreciation, intersecting perspectives, and socio-cultural awareness.

Summer Adventure
Summer Adventure is a fun, affordable summer enrichment program offered in partnership with the Santa Monica Education Foundation and the Santa Monica-Malibu Council of PTAs for kids from T-K through 6th grade. The program takes place over 5 weeks each summer on an SMMUSD elementary school campus.
