United Against Hate Week Oct. 19-25

United Against Hate Week (UAHW) is next week, Oct. 19-25, and there are a few events and activities planned.

Tuesday, Oct 14 - Indigo Khosla, a 9th grade Samohi student, was chosen by the Santa Monica Poet Laureate for her submission to the UAHW Student Poetry Contest. Indigo performed her poem at the City Council Meeting and accepted the City's UAHW Proclamation. She and six other students will have their poems displayed at City Hall and on the Santa Monica Public Library's social media page next week.
Sunday, Oct. 19 - Join us on the Promenade for music, activities, and sidewalk chalk art to kickoff United Against Hate Week. Come check out our very own Jill Jurenka create sidewalk chalk art You'll find us between Broadway and Santa Monica Blvd.
Thursday, Oct. 23 - SMMPTA + SMMCTA will again lead the Right To Be Bystander Intervention Training at the Santa Monica Main Library in the MLK Auditorium, and we hope you'll join us for the Sticks & Stones Reception starting at 5pm.
