Great Park Advocacy

Kids, teens, and families are warmly invited to a fun Rally for an LC-Compliant Great Park in front of Santa Monica City Hall on Tuesday, July 8th at 4:30pm. There will be face painting, music, and inspiring speakers plus free pizza for kids and teens. Please make and bring pro-park signs. Kids and teens are encouraged to wear team uniforms, school t-shirts, scout uniforms, or nature-themed “flora and fauna” costumes, hats or headbands. Kids and teens (and their parents) will be able to give early public comment to City Council at 5:30pm, if they sign up in the lobby kiosk at 5:10. Adults wishing to comment on Item number 7A will speak later in the evening. Great Park Coalition members can help with sign ups at the lobby kiosk. Each person will get one minute to speak. Important messages to City Council will be “Choose an LC-compliant plan for a Great Park with no development!” “192 acres, perfect and necessary for a great park, will likely never be assembled again in Santa Monica.” “Great kids like us deserve a Great Park!”
